How to save a powerpoint presentation and make another user not change settings.?

I want to send a power point presentation but i dont want that person to edit it. I was told of how to do this but i forgot. How can i make it so if i send the powerpoint its only as ';Read as'; just pass through the slides but not edit. any ideas? How to save a powerpoint presentation and make another user not change settings.?
You could save it as read only and password protect it. Or you can save it only as a show and it will lock it. Go to save as and try the different file types. Just rename it so you have your original. Good Luck! How to save a powerpoint presentation and make another user not change settings.?
1.you can save the PowerPoint presentation as PPS. go to

File%26gt;Save As%26gt; PowerPoint Show

2.convert the PowerPoint presentation into flash file.

I prefer to the latter solution. when PPS is opend, it will play automatically. But this can not prevent other people editing your presentation absolutely. if you convert PPT to flash, your presentation will not be edited easily.
You may use Proctect Presentation features to restrict access. But it's complicated and not handy. Alternatively you can transform your presentation to other formats such as web pages, video files and Flash movies to keep the content and layout from reediting by others.
